Nuit Arts & Sciences Lumières

Hiroaki Umeda (Jap) - Myriam Bleau (Qc) - Lorenzo Bravi (It) - Lucie Le Guen (Fr) - Gwendal Le Flem (Fr) - Etudiants et enseignants-chercheurs de l’INSA Rennes (Fr) - Ymothep (Fr)

When science serves artists, students and professors in their unrestrained creativity… In the context of the international year of the light, the NUIT ARTS  & SCIENCES invites to discover audio-visual performances, workshops and luminous explorations. Let there be light!

The Japanese choreographer and dancer Hiroaki Umeda presents on stage Split Flow and Accumulated Layout: two of his uncluttered audio-visual performances, mixing choreography and new technologies.

In performance Soft Revolvers, the young Quebec artist Myriam Bleau control sounds and lights in an original way through an innovative and exciting device based on bright spinning tops.

Lorenzo Bravi presents Hit the beat, a new genre of drum machine which enables the use of small objects in our daily lives to achieve musical compositions.

Students and Professors of the INSA Rennes invite you to test experiments about light (light and colors additions, transport and propagation of sound by light).

As a young designer living in Rennes, Lucie Le Guen offers a workshop called Unfold: Connect where everyone can create its own light source.

The photographer Gwendal the Flem, accompanying the team of elctroni[k] for several years, offers for this night Arts & Sciences a light painting workshop, where you can create an image using different colored light sources.

Ymothep will propose a set around a universe of electronic sonorities.

The night Arts & Sciences is a project developed by the cultural service of the University of Rennes 1 and Electroni[k] with the support of the University of Rennes 1, INSA Rennes, and the city of Rennes
