OPEN CALL college degree « Arts & Technologies » – Maintenant Festival 2017

Create an innovative project linking art and new technologies!

The Electroni[k] organisation launches a call for projects to students for the 2017 edition of the Maintenant festival that will take place in October 2017 in Rennes ; it consists in an installation and a performance evolving around the theme « Arts & Technologies ».

Since 2001, the Electroni[k] organisation has been exploring cross-fields, pushing borders, breaking the rules of artistic propositions and locations to link creations and audience. Electroni[k] focuses on opening emerging cultures to the publics, particularly innovative and pluri-disciplinary projects : contemporary art, graphic design, digital art, electronic, contemporary or electro-acoustic music for instance. Every year, Electroni[k] invites various artists for Maintenant festival to present exhibitions, installations, interactive setups, concerts, performa, ces, work shops, conferences… and works with 60 artists or collective from the Rennes area, Brittany but also on a national and international scale.

Maintenant is a hybrid festival, a pluri-disciplinary event that links ambitious artistic propositions and curious publics around « Arts, Music and Technologies ». Maintenant has been thought as a snapshot of the contemporary artistic creation ; a poetic exploration of the city guided by innovative experiences, accessible to everyone in the public space and more than 25 different locations in Rennes.

Numerous students and young artists have already presented their projects in the frame of the previous editions, some come on board!
