Myriam Bleau (QC-CA) & V4w.enko (UA)
Expérience is a program dedicated to nowadays digital creativity as well as electronic experimentations and inventive machineries. This opened space of Maintenant, laboratory for art innovations, is a favorable environment for discovering experimental forms.
After the fascinating spinning tops used in Soft Revolvers in 2015, Myriam Bleau comes to Rennes again for Maintenant with her new creation, autopsy.glass, an audiovisual performance that explores the sound and visual potential of wine glasses tightened in a vise. By manipulating the amplified glasses, the artist plays with the tension of anticipated destruction and maintains a suspense made of resonances and fragments. Through his project V4w.enko, Evgeniy Vaschenko creates musical and visual compositions from a software he develops himself. His performance Scalar V.002 generates a sound and interactive environment that reacts to movement. Following his moves, strange coloured landscapes appear, floating in the digital blue.
autopsy.glass by Myriam Bleau is produced with the support of the Quebec Arts Council and the ENCAC European Network for Contemporary Audiovisual Creation, as well as the support of Recto/Verso (Quebec) and Eastern Bloc (Montreal) and presented in collaboration with the Franco-Quebec Fund for Decentralized Cooperation, Elektra (Montréal), Stereolux (Nantes), and the Ministère des Relations Internationales et Francophonie du Québec.
Expérience 2 at Le Tambour is presented in partnership with the research team “Arts: practices and poetics” and the Cultural Service service of the Rennes 2 University.
