Clock Work

Vincent Broquaire (FR)

In his illustration and animation works, Vincent Broquaire ceaselessly questions -with his minimalist and ironic style- the hidden side of our everyday life and the influence of new technologies on our life.

He is back in Rennes after drawing the poster of the festival in 2013 (and before presenting a new installation at Les Champs Libres, from mid-December). For the tower of Le Couvent des Jacobins, he has thought of a clock that seems to show the time properly. However a character is stuck inside and aims at controlling it, what makes reading the time impossible, as a farcical and ridiculous metaphor referring to our own relation to time and its acceleration.
