Bertùf (FR) – Voir le son
Inspired by the experience of Ernst Chladni, physicist from the 18th century, Bertùf proposes to experiment cymatics: the art of visualizing sound vibrations.
Thanks to workshops set up with inhabitants of the city of Bruz, he conceives installations to make sound waves visible and explore the numerous possibilities to transform sound into images and movements. As he makes a slab of metal vibrate thanks to a violin bow, sand grains that cover it move to form bizarre geometric shapes.
