Paul Vivien is a French artist based in Rennes. Fascinated by new technologies, he explores both their possibilities as tools and their impact on our society. Through hacking, misappropriation and recycling, he creates a poetic encounter between the themes that inspire him: animal behaviour, natural phenomena, science fiction, low-tech design and the fairground arts. His work has been presented internationally by a number of institutions, including the Château de Versailles, the Centre des Arts d’Enghien, the Cube, the Mapping Festival in Geneva, the Bouglione Circus and the Palais de Tokyo.
