The duo Marion Pinaffo and Raphaël Pluvinage have been working together since 2015. They observe, manipulate and experiment with the technologies that surround us. Guided by curiosity and intuition, the duo analyse the physical systems and forms that operate in the background of the virtual world and explore the interactions that can take place between the mathematical logic of automata and human creative sensibility. They conceptualise and create simple objects, systems and procedures to visualise complex and hidden realities. Their work is totally innovative, with Pinaffo & Pluvinage inventing the material forms one by one as the fields of investigation develop. Their collaboration with Maintenant is built around a shared taste for experimentation, research and development.
