Violeta Azevedo is an experimental flutist from Lisbon, who builds expansive soundscapes with a full set of effects pedals. Through a hybrid ambient universe, between improvisation and composition, she creates a series of wonderfully unique and unnaturally abstract sound paintings.
In recent years she has collaborated with a wide range of avant-garde Portuguese musicians and has performed in some of the most respected institutions in the experimental music scene in Portugal, such as Culturgest, MAAT and gnration. She is part of several musical projects, including Jasmim, haraem and Savage Ohms.
