Editorial illustration, children’s illustration, art direction and visual identity, Aurélien Jeanney works in multiple media, creating a colourful, geometric universe.

Very keen to bring together the disciplines he works in, he began experimenting with augmented reality very early on. Combining paper and digital, he first presented an exhibition based on the novels of Jules Verne in 2016 at Maison d’Ailleurs, a science fiction museum (Yverdon, Switzerland). After several collections of printed images that can be ‘augmented’ using this technology, he wrote, illustrated and animated Les Voyages extraordinaires d’Axel, a children’s documentary book released in 2020 (co-published by Amaterra and Maison Tangible).

His work now focuses on illustration, augmented reality mural painting, writing, experiments in wooden volumes and animated images. A creative nomad, he now works between Paris, where he has his studio, and the countryside.
