Moroccan and currently based in Brussels, ojoo has forged a solid reputation for creating a meticulous sound that is reflected in carefully crafted DJ mixes. These are played at venues across Morocco and Europe, on radio shows on Noods and Movement, and through mixtapes released on Accidental Meetings and Chrome.
ojoo‘s mixes pay equal attention to atmosphere and groove. They form a swirling cauldron of rhythms covering a whole range of genres, from old-school dancehall to its most futuristic and distorted mutations, via dub, reggaeton, dembow, grime, and occasional forays into noisy, grimy and muddy territory, with illbient, musique concrète and much more besides.
