Swedish artist, director and writer, Peder Bjurman began his career in Scandinavian theatre with the original idea and co-writing of the play “Fare Side of the Moon” for Robert Lepage and the company Ex Machina.
Keen to associate multiple forms of expression, Peder Bjurman combines imagery and music with strong narrative texts to create a new entity: theatrical installations. In his creations, he works closely with other artists and specialists, and often mobilises cutting-edge stage technologies, blurring the boundaries between theatre and digital arts.
More recently, Peder Bjurman‘s work has focused on large-scale audiovisual installations and participatory exhibitions that blend video and augmented reality, with a particular emphasis on consciousness and the living. The artist is also the founder and artistic director of the hybrid digital arts and music festival Otherworldly in Sweden.
