Simon Lazarus is a graduate of a double degree course in Art & Graphic Design at the H.E.A.R. Having been involved in graffiti since the beginning of the zeros, he is now experimenting with new plastic territories through the use of technology and digital. Adept of hacking in the broadest sense – we understand here the detour of use/exploration/parasiting – he appropriates the tools of the maker culture to produce drawings, volumes, animated frescos and audio-visual installations. His visual grammar, which gravitates between symbolism and abstraction, is embodied via processes that put virtual imagery and physical materiality in tension. He is also involved in collective practices of adventure (ROAD DOGS), storytelling (MANITOU), and off-piste scouting (KUK).
