Urbanimal is a graphic journey in the public space, a visual and interactive treasure hunt to discover or (re)discover the Courrouze/Cleunay district. Based on two elements – geocaching* and augmented reality – Urbanimal consists of 8 route points representing 8 animal totem posters. Each illustration discovered is animated in augmented reality and gives access to a new enigma to solve to find the next hiding place!
To complete the tour, you need a smartphone or tablet running the Maison Tangible AR application. It takes around forty minutes on foot.
On Saturday 7 October, the festival’s mediation team is organising a treasure hunt around the Urbanimal trail.
*Geocaching is an outdoor activity in which visitors use their GPS or smartphone to find caches scattered around a given area, either in the countryside or in the city. The idea behind the concept is to search for and complete the points along the way to the final cache, synonymous with victory and treasure.
