Low-tech | Contemplative music | Upcycling vinyl records
L’Harmonie De Notre Absence is an arts-and-science audiovisual installation that imagines terrestrial landscapes following the disappearance of humankind. Drawing on scientific, geological and climatological data, the work features a series of rotating dioramas evoking these possible futures – a contemplative end of the world, experienced as a video journey through a world of moving miniatures.
At the centre of the installation is a repurposed turntable capable of playing audiovisual LPs. On Side A, models shape the space; on Side B, music resonates. Between the models visible in the room and the live camera footage projected onto a large screen, two interpretations coexist and respond to one another.
Contrary to the dystopian visions often associated with artificial intelligence, the artist imagines digital entities integrated into natural balances, capable of cooperating with their environment rather than dominating it. Blending technological foresight, visual poetry and ecological reflection, her works sketch out new narratives where ingenuity and living things coexist.
