Since 2019, Electroni[k] has been developing an artistic itinerary with the artist ALI and Roche aux Fées Communauté for a two-year residency on the inter-municipal territory. The residency was born to carry out a real territorial project, associating municipalities and residents at the heart of an artistic project in the public space.

After two weeks of construction, exchanges and technical advices, ALI created the floating artwork Îlots; it is composed of 9 units of all sizes, gathered in 7 structures of which the main island floats on 3m². There are more than 2600 ping-pong balls floating like water lilies on the Etang de la Forge. With Îlots, ALI explores new mediums and ways of working. Unlike the fresco painted on 4 towns, the pattern will here react, it will be neither smooth, nor straight, or totally symmetrical. It will move in an organic way and live thanks to the variations of the water.
