From the technophile avant-garde to the ingenuity of low-tech, Maintenant offers a curious, ambitious and festive artistic journey from 8 to 13 October in Rennes.

After announcing the artists for Nuit électronique and the Expérience audiovisuelle at the Antipode, Maintenant is unveiling a virtual installation and two additional audiovisual experiences. See you in September to discover the full program.

One virtual installation

Slow Walker, Peder Bjurman SE

Visual and multimedia arts

The first installation to have been announced: Slow Walker is an augmented reality experience created by swedish artist, director and writer Peder Bjurman. In his artwork, a microscopic tardigrade appears as a gigantic being, visible through the screen of your mobile device, floating in the sky over the Place du Parlement de Bretagne.

Two Expériences audiovisuelles

Second Breath,
Myra-Ida van der Veen
NL

Performance collective low tech

Second Breath is an audiovisual performance centred on breath, inspired by the anatomy of frogs. Dutch artist Myra-Ida van der Veen explores how air shapes our bodies, and how this experience can be used to create a community that cares for each other.

Second Self,
Myriam Bleau CA/QC &
Nien-Tzu Weng TW/CA

Interactive performance with touch-sensitive LED screens

Second Self is an audiovisual performance and the first collaboration between Myriam Bleau and Nien-Tzu Weng. Combining dance and technology, they question our communication systems, our online experiences and our relationship with our digital double.
