Publish on 3 January 2025

Artists Guillaumit and Elly Oldman are currently in the process of creating two new installations: BlockSmog and La Planète d’Au-Dessus de la Terre.

BlockSmog, Guillaumit

BlockSmog takes the form of a graphic and interactive triptych, which can be displayed on various mediums and scales, both outdoors and indoors, as well as online through a dedicated website. It is associated with a digital application that allows users to discover and experience three mini augmented reality video games, each linked to the narrative progression of one of the murals, providing a playful and engaging entry point for raising awareness of the factors and issues related to air pollution.

This augmented reality video game experience is designed as an illustration – particularly in light of current changes – of the need for awareness of the main sources of emissions, as well as possible individual and collective actions to care for our fragile ecosystem.

La Planète d’Au-Dessus de la Terre, Elly Oldman

From the Instagram account @theinfinitedrawing to the interactive mural La Grande Histoire du Dessin Sans Fin, Elly Oldman has been exploring the artistic possibilities offered by new media since 2017.

The artist creates a whimsical and adventurous universe to raise awareness about environmental issues, particularly plastic pollution. In response to the eco-anxiety she observed during her encounters with audiences, Elly Oldman is envisioning a new work aimed at opening the dialogue on mental health and ecology.

Full of references to pop culture, La Planète d’Au-Dessus de la Terre is a transmedia, interactive, immersive, and playful adventure that combines augmented reality, animation, and illustration. The goal? To joyfully combat eco-anxiety and inform people about ongoing positive initiatives.

→ Release scheduled for Fall 2026
