Lukas Persyn, a visual artist based in Rennes, is interested in the discreet infrastructures that shape our existence. He has developed a practice in which technique and mystery coexist. Through his installations, he brings invisible systems to light to reveal the imperceptible aspects of our daily lives and to question our relationship with those objects we no longer notice. Each project stems from a fascination – at times bordering on obsession – with a subject or an enigmatic presence.
He is the first winner of the Ambivalences – Émergence programme, led by the three regional hubs: Brittany (Electroni[k]), Normandy (Oblique/s & Station Mir / ]interstice[ festival) and Pays de la Loire (Stereolux), and supported by the DRAC of these three regions.
