An underground icon on the international club scene, MOESHA 13 sings, mixes and produces, moving between fiery rap lyrics and a dancefloor aesthetic crafted into an incandescent hybrid. MOESHA 13 is a multi-hyphenate artist from Marseille, whose sound fuses club, techno and afro under a concept he has called “gadjicore”. Showcasing their productions on stages the world over, from Berlin’s CTM festival to Uganda’s Nyege Nyege, they seem to be everywhere, navigating between genres with disconcerting ease, they move effortlessly from reggaeton to gabber (a genre derived from hardcore techno), all the while spouting sounds straight out of Atlanta (a city nicknamed the “centre of gravity of hip hop” because it is where Childish Gambino, 2 Chainz and André 3000, founder of OutKast, grew up). Their musical work is marked by excitement, research and performance.
For the 2020 edition, the artist was presented with the support of SHAPE platform, co-financed by Europe Creative program of European Union.
