Vanessa Wagner, the musicians of the ONB, Labelle + guests
For this evening, we propose you to meet 3 artists or musical groups used to the festival now : Vanessa Wagner, Labelle and the Orchestre National de Bretagne (ONB) who, 10 years ago, already shared the festival’s poster. Unlike in 2012, they will perform this year on the same evening in order to combine their universes.
Vanessa Wagner and the ONB will take you on a journey that only they can lead. Between a classical concert, a piano recital and a musical journey in the company of the Rennes-Reunion composer Labelle, they invite us to plunge into the heart of nature and the mystical.
This concert is built around the work Enneade by Labelle, composer and musician well known to fans of electro-acoustic music. He makes us discover Maloya, which is literally the heartbeat of his work and the musical soul of Reunion Island. A true odyssey, this work is inspired by nine natural elements and places that animate the composer in his spiritual relationship with Mother Nature.
Enneade is a co-commission of the Orchestre de Toulon, the Orchestre de la Région Réunion and the Orchestre National de Bretagne.
This concert is presented in partnership with the Orchestre National de Bretagne and the city of Betton.

Originally from Rennes, the musician and composer Labelle unites two worlds that seem to oppose each other: electro and Maloya, a traditional music from Reunion Island, where he lives. Through his Indian and African inspirations, his musical universe plunges us into the heart of a colourful mix of breaths and frenzied rhythms, trance and serenity, heaven and earth.
A classical pianist by training, Vanessa Wagner weaves links between universes that are too often compartmentalised to offer us a repertoire rich in musical colours. A mirror of an awakening personality, she likes to take her art to new shores in a minimalist style.
