Opening evening

To kick off the 23rd edition of the festival, we’re inviting you to the Théâtre du Vieux St-Étienne: the heart of the festival and an emblematic monument of Rennes’ heritage, now transformed into an artistic hybrid between exhibitions during the day and clubbing at nightfall.

During the evening, come and discover the installations on display in the monument, watch Parallel Strata light up, and dance to the sunny sounds of Célélé.

Célélé

Overflowing with solar energy, his DJ sets have a single aim: to get you dancing! Célélé‘s selections oscillate between breakbeats, bass music and jungle, sometimes daring to include acid tracks between more cosmic moments.

Light up Parallel Strata

The installation by Nicky Assmann and Joris Strijbos creates kinetic sculptures based on stroboscopic lights and shadow effects, linked to the movement of the spectators. For the opening of the festival, the installation will be lit at 20:00 on the Place Hoche.
