In 2020, Sophie Soia, Stéphanie Delpouve, Jérôme Vassereau and Julien Sénélas presented their first collaboration, In C for 11 oscillators and 53 forms, an original re-reading of In C, Terry Riley’s landmark work. This collaboration resulted in a phonographic edition (vinyl disc & 32-page booklet) published by Un je-ne-sais-quoi and a performance. On the strength of this first experience, the collective is continuing its work with this new creation, going even further in its research into the relationship between music and image.

Members of the collective :

Sophie Soia is an illustrator. After studying graphic design at the School of Fine Arts and earning a qualification as a teacher of applied arts, she moved closer to the world of independent publishing. Paper is her playground and field of experimentation. She tells stories and exotic journeys, colorful tales that make us feel like children again

Stéphanie Delpouve is a scenographer and visual artist. After studying object, space, and textile design, she enjoys working with different media and formats. She creates stage designs for theatre and street art, as well as decorations and ephemeral furniture for festivals. Curious and versatile, she enjoys DIY projects, woodworking, sewing, drawing, and computers. She also teaches art at the Blois art school.

Jérôme Vassereau is a self-taught musician and sound engineer. As a guitarist in various bands, from noise (Pneu) to zouk (Francky Goes to Pointe) to more experimental pop (Binidu), he proves his eclecticism and quest for experimentation. A curious and demanding artist, he participates in performances and engages in numerous artistic ventures (such as with La Colonie de Vacances).

Julien Sénélas, also known as Funken, is a musician and producer from Tours. Difficult to categorize, his music aims to blur the lines. By using cutting and sampling, he creates melodies influenced by pop and underground hip-hop. His solo album “Michel” (Platinum Records) is a concentrated example of this. He has several releases to his name, resulting from numerous associations (The Fox Heads with Canadian artist Ira Lee, Awards with rapper and visual artist Thesis Sahib) and collaborations (Gablé, Ropoporose, Piano Chat…).
