Macula Nigra develops a practice of printed images, creating utopian universes through collage work, drawing on a variety of iconographic sources. Associations of images and signs are at the heart of his work, combining themes such as architecture, graphic design, specific printing processes and the different ways in which images appear (stereoscopy, holography, etc.). His work takes the form of prints, small editions and even small volume devices, and he likes to develop projects in collaboration with other artists (Jérôme Maillet, Audrey Jamme, Simon Poligné). He has been a member of the Le Marché Noir collective, which promotes the graphic and printed arts in Rennes, since 2012.
