Electrify your sound
With this workshop Electrify your sound, Violeta Azevedo offers classical wind instrument players an introduction to electronic music. Through exercises in natural sound transformation, each participant will be able to experiment with different sound effects on his or her instrument, using the effects pedals provided.
Musicians will explore long notes, percussive notes and elasticity of sound before improvising together a fusion of all these sound effects. The workshop will end with the listening of the unique electronic creation and a moment of sharing with the artist and the other performers.

Violeta Azevedo is an experimental flutist from Lisbon, who builds expansive soundscapes with a full set of effects pedals. Through a hybrid ambient universe, between improvisation and composition, she creates a series of wonderfully unique and unnaturally abstract sound paintings.
